Terms of Service
Last updated: June 10, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Docusift ("Service"), a product of Ekarche operated under the Docusift brand ("we", "our", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. More about the parent company at ekarche.com.
2. Description of Service
Docusift is a zero-setup AI document processing service that extracts structured data from uploaded documents. The Service is provided via a web application, REST API, and email intake.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service in any of the ways listed below. Confirmed violations result in document removal, account suspension, or termination — depending on severity and history. We may cooperate with law enforcement where required.
Prohibited content
- Content that infringes copyright, trade marks, or other intellectual-property rights you do not own or have a licence to use.
- Documents containing child sexual abuse material, content depicting non-consensual sexual acts, or content sexualising minors.
- Content that solicits, plans, or facilitates violence, terrorism, or self-harm.
- Content you know to contain malware, exploits, or active attempts to subvert downstream systems.
Prohibited use
- Using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Uploading documents you do not have the right to process.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or extracting source code from the Service; scraping content not your own; probing rate limits or attempting to circumvent quotas.
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service or its infrastructure.
- Sending unsolicited bulk messaging or running credential-stuffing campaigns against unrelated systems via the Service.
- Sharing API keys or credentials across legal entities, or with third parties not subject to confidentiality obligations.
- Using the Service to make automated decisions about individuals with significant legal or similar effect, without independent human review.
- Reselling or sublicensing access to the Service without written permission.
To report abuse of the Service, email hello@docusift.co with subject Abuse report. Copyright takedown notices may be sent to the same address with subject DMCA notice; include the URL of the allegedly infringing material, your contact details, and a good-faith statement of ownership or authorisation.
5. Your Content
You retain all rights to documents you upload. By uploading a document, you grant us a limited license to process it for the sole purpose of providing the extraction service. We do not use your documents to train AI models.
6. Pricing and Payment
Paid plans are billed monthly and renew automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice; price changes take effect at your next renewal. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
You may cancel a paid plan at any time from the Billing section of your Docusift account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period; access continues until then and there is no prorated refund for the unused portion unless required by law.
7. Free Tier
The free tier includes a limited number of document pages per month. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits at any time.
8. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. Downtime caused by factors beyond our control (force majeure) is excluded from any SLA commitments.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, and branding, is our intellectual property. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described.
10. AI-Assisted Output
Docusift uses machine learning and large-language-model technologies to extract structured data from your documents. AI-generated output is probabilistic and may contain errors, omissions, or mis-classifications, including in fields you rely on for financial, accounting, or tax purposes.
You are solely responsible for reviewing extracted output before using it for any purpose, including before pushing it to accounting platforms such as QuickBooks or Xero, before filing or reporting under any law, and before relying on it in your books or records. Docusift makes no warranty that extraction output is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose, including tax or financial reporting.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Docusift disclaims all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted operation, or freedom from harmful components. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from Docusift creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Docusift shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Docusift and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India, where Ekarche Private Limited's registered office is located. Nothing in this section restricts your ability to bring proceedings in a court of competent jurisdiction in your country of residence where mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection laws give you that right (including, for individuals in the EU/UK, the courts of your habitual residence).
16. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 of India. The seat of arbitration shall be in India.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We record the version of these Terms in force when you accept them so we can establish which version applies to your use of the Service over time.
18. Copyright and Takedown (DMCA)
If you believe content uploaded to Docusift infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@docusift.coincluding: a physical or electronic signature of the rights holder or authorized agent, identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location in the Service, your contact information, a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act. Repeat infringers' accounts may be terminated.
